Ocean on My Mind...

I've been thinking a whole lot about going to the beach, and I was planning on taking some pictures of outfits that reminded me of the beach and Summer in general, but unfortunately I can't take very good pictures at nighttime, which is when I got a spare moment for pictures today. Therefore, my loose white tees, cutoff shorts, and floppy straw hats will have to wait until tomorrow... :(

Hopefully my very first creation on Polyvore will keep my readers satisfied with a daily dose of Summer style until then! :)

In other news, my family has been looking at places to spend a weekend at the beach! I'm incredibly excited, because I've only been once, and that was 4 years ago! I've also been Googling pictures of where we'll be vacationing (Not going to reveal my location here, though) , don't these make you want to go on vacation?!

I think I have an obsession...

Okay, so I'm pretty sure I have an obsession...

...with sunglasses ;)

Every time I see a cute pair, I have to snatch them up! And if they're under $10? Forget it, they're mine!!! I already have a whole bunch, and I really need to stop even looking at them when I shop, but I can't help it! They're such a great way to accessorize or add a pop of color and style to any outfit!

Therefore, I decided to make today's post an ode to one of my favorite accessories!

I actually took these photos myself yesterday using a quilt and a spotlight! I was pretty proud of myself :)

I know I haven't posted in a while, and I'm sorry! Been very busy lately--Between the 4th of July, shopping with some friends who I haven't seen in a while, etc...
HOWEVER, I do have some pictures to share of the fireworks I saw with my Dad downtown!

It's A Picturesque Life!

Today, my family baked a delicious strawberry-rhubarb pie! (My mom's famous recipe!) It was absolutely wonderful, not to mention beautiful! Between kneading pie dough and chopping fruits, I got to snap some good pictures of our creation! :)

We made some yummy cinnamon sugar twists with the leftover pie dough...They were sooo good!!

The very first slice of pie! :)

It was great with vanilla frozen yogurt! :)

Afterwards we went to the pool to relax...Pretty great day if you ask me! :)
